Mark has just stepped inside heavens loveliest room and left the door ajar. There now with Rita and Walter. All is good. Peace at last for him from pain. He is Happy. Let him go. Too young but such is the journey. Thinking about you all. Be at peace with this. The must difficult thing ever.
— Annmarie
Our deepest sympathies on Mark's untimely passing. Many of us are scattered to the four corners of Ireland and world and couldn't attend his funeral this past weekend; he was remembered with great fondness in many places. He was a really unassuming, gentle and kind person taken far too soon. He finished the race. May he rest in peace.
— Mark's classmates from The Bish Class of 2010
I was sad to hear of Mark's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this painful time. May he rest in everlasting peace

John, Linda, Dave and Shane I am so sorry to hear about Mark's passing and I have been struggling for words of comfort to say to you John and Linda as my heart breaks for you beyond a heart should break because no one should lose a child. Dave and Shane your loss of a sibling has come to you way too young. It's always hard to come up with words of comfort for anyone who has lost a truly loved one in their lives. So we usually try to be safe with our words and say what seems appropriate i.e. sorry for your loss or you have my deepest sympathies. But I want to say so much more but can't find the words but wish I could share with you my feelings which words can't describe, and I pray that Mark is in heaven and is with his grandparents and his Uncle Walter.

A poem about What Cancer Cannot Do, it makes me think of Mark and all of you and how you and he dealt with his cancer.

Cancer is so limited
It cannot cripple Love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode Faith
It cannot eat away peace
It cannot destroy Confidence
It cannot kill Friendship
It cannot shot out MEMORIES
It cannot silence Courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot reduce eternal life
It cannot quench the spirit.
— Mary Ann Walsh
