It was indeed sad news to hear of his passing and we have many memories of a wonderful man who gave so much to his community. One personal memory for me was his input into both 1916 & 1921 Committee's in Ballygar and the outstanding manner in which he delivered the orations at both of these events. His commitment and dedication marked him out from the crowd on many fronts and we are indebted to Marty in so many ways, but are equally thankful for the legacy he left behind. Rest peaceful Marty and watch over your treasured wife Dominica from above. Slán abhaile friend.

We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Martie and send our condolences to Dominica, PJ, Maureen and their family and friends.

Our Uncle and Aunt, Sean (RIP) and Anna Healy (Nightengale Nursing Home, Ahascragh) were next-door neighbours to Martie, Kathleen, PJ and Maureen and part of a vibrant Mucanagh community, as hay was gathered, turf footed, cattle sold at the fair or mart and indeed enjoying the Ballygar Carnival.

Martie had great time for our mother Mary (RIP) and Mam loved meeting up with all the Healy family on her many visits to her Mucanagh place of birth over the years.

We also want to take the opportunity to offer condolences on behalf of our Aunt, Anna Healy - she was a dear friend of Kathleen RIP.
