Rest in Peace Martin
— Patricia & Peter Evans, Cambs
I have fond memories of Martin, as
a youngster, coming into Tubbercurry with his late mother Molly. I regret that I didn't come across him in more recent years. His funeral mass
gave an insight into how well he was regarded by the Bunninadden and wider community. May God rest Martin.
— Margaret Oates

Martin, you were always part of our lives as a next-door neighbour and playmate in Mullinabreena, to a schoolmate in Doocastle. You helped Dad, Mam, my brothers, sisters and I save hay and turf to the gathering of the harvest in Autumn. We missed you and your mother when the door on your childhood home was closed and the light shone no more. I know you loved your new home in Bunninadden and the new friends you made and the old ones you never forgot. Rest in Peace, my friend.

So sorry to hear of Marty’s recent passing. He will be remembered for his kind, friendly demeanour and of course that big beaming smile which we often saw while driving through Bunninadden village.

I think the real measure of the man is easily gathered from many of the lovely tributes which have been posted on this page. One of life’s true gentlemen.
