I got to know Matt a little during the summer of 2021 when I stayed with Sean and Josie Sweeney next door. at no 17. Absolute gentlemen always enquired on Sean and Josie well being each morning. Matt from what I have seen was very highly thought of by his neighbours on Tubberjarlarh Rd whom checked in with him daily. Great community caring that is unfortunately dissappering from the Irish way of life.

Sincere and heartfelt condolences to Matts family, friends and neighbours. Matt was the last surviving member of TubbetrJarlaths men's shed. The laughter and banter from Burkes house every morning when they all met up brought a smile to all of our faces. Hope they are all enjoying their eternal reward together, only god knows what stories he is now relaying to them .
