My earliest memories are of going to the playschool, all of about 3 years old, convinced I was there to help Mary Agnes and my Auntie Anne “with the small ones” as opposed to being looked after myself.

Her warmth and kindness always shone through.

Sincere condolences to the O Keeffe family on the loss of their dear Mother and our beloved neighbour, Mary. The O Keeffe family are part of a lovely neighbourhood, who in earlier years, joined my family to live at our unique address of Presbytery View.
I have fond memories of Tim and Mary throughout the years and of the many happy hours of entertaining the boys in our house when they were young, while not forgetting young Pat Mac, who often joined in with his unforgettable giggles.
May God and His Blessed Mother grant eternal rest in Heaven, to those who have gone before us.

So sad to hear of the death of one of Rathmore’s most delightful and committed family and community member. Sincere condolences to all , especially her beloved family. Had occasion to support her as a founder member of Rathmore Child Care Facility in Teach Iosagain, moons ago . Her dedication and perseverance, even when remuneration at week end wasn’t guaranteed , ensured its success. I still smile recalling the cold frosty morning Mary Agnes contacted me, fearing the worst, having been accosted by a Safety Rep as she crossed the yard with a bag of turf and cipins to start a blaze. Such was her concern for the warmth and comfort of her charge crossing the line was necessary. ! Forty years on its Global Warming would frown on her bag of turf. May Mary Agnes receive a thousand welcomes as she reaches her Heavenly Home .
