Dear Orla, Niamh and Brian, we are so sad to hear about Mary, your gentle lovely mum. Mary and Joe were life long dear friends to Mum and Dad, and their love and kindness was a constant in our lives as we were growing up. Mum and Mary rarely missed their weekly catch up for so many years. We have great memories of family times spent together and share your sadness. Your Mum and Dad are resting together now. Take care. My sincerest condolences on the death of your beloved Mum. It was only late last night that I heard with great shock of her sad passing, too late to cancel prior arrangements , so with a heavy heart I couldn’t say my farewell to her. As fate would have it, I was away when your dear dad died so missed his funeral also. Niall and I were so happy to call them our dear friends and no party would be complete without them! I always think of Joe when I hear ‘Scarlet Ribbons’ on the radio. They are united now for eternity as they were in life. . May God give you and all the family strength to bear the immense loss of both your wonderful parents within such a short time-frame. Thinking of you all. God bless.

We were very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. She was a lovely warm and friendly neighbour. In recent years we often saw her walking either with Joe or one of her carers and she was always happy to pause for a little chat. They will both be missed.
