Maura was a long standing member of the Department of Agriculture and the Land Commission. She was a larger than life character who enjoyed life to the full and who will be remembered by many.

Deepest sympathy to all the Flahive relatives on the death of Mary I am reminded of the old days, on our way to Droumavally in the pony and trap, mother would want to stop at Mary’s old home to have a word with whoever was available No better two than Alice and Mary, if present, to tell it as it was. .Whenever I had the opportunity to meet Mary in later life I found her so entertaining. May they all now enjoy eternal happiness

Our deepest condolences to (Maura) Mary, she was a breath of fresh air when you met her and we will miss her greatly.

We at Ringsend and Irishtown Community Centre (RICC) are deeply saddened to hear of Maura's passing. Maura took part in computer classes with Brendan and would always pop down to print off her flight information for her holidays, for which she gave us little presents that we were very grateful for. She often had a chat with the girls in the office which we enjoyed. She was a lovely, heartwarming lady. Thinking of her friends and relatives at this sad time. May she rest in peace, from all the staff at RICC
