Mary Hewitt O'Brien

I am so sad to hear of Mary’s death. She had such energy in everything she did it’s hard to believe she’s gone. She was a wonderful mentor and boss when I was a novice theatre nurse in cappagh many years ago. I was so glad to see her friendly reassuring face when my daughter was a patient in santry several years ago. Rest in peace Mary. Sending my condolences to Pat & Karla

My condolences to Marys family. I knew Mary back in 1993 when I worked in Cappagh and was delighted to work with her again in SSC. She worked so hard to set it all up and did a great job as usual. We continued working together until her retirement. I’m sorry she didn’t get the time she deserved to relax and take lots of holidays which I know she loved. I was always delighted to meet her every morning as she did her rounds greeting everyone and always in before everyone. RIP

Great memories of Mary from the time she arrived in Cappagh Theatre from Jervis St. Hospital . That was shortly after Karla was born. Mary was warm, understanding and a great manager.
