I had the pleasure of knowing Mary a beautiful lady only discovered today of her passing.
I was the person who urged her to get treatment I hope she lived her last days in comfort 🙏🏻

My deepest sympathy for all of Mary's family. Having had the good fortune to work with Mary and benefit from her experience, wisdom, kindness and fun, I will and many will miss her. But I hold those memories of Mary's many experience's that she shared and know she lived life to the full and set an example for me to follow as best I can.

I remember Mary fondly as a journalist and later as a colleague at the Bar. She is sorely missed.

Fond memories of growing up in Riverstown with the wonderful Kerrigan’s next door. Fun and fond memories, as a child, of Mary and Majella French plaiting my hair whilst wrestling with my unruly curls. After which we, or rather I, discussed the merits of ironing my hair straight! Mary ensured the curls won out!!
And for gifting your dolls, dress up clothes and fancy shoes.

I was at the funeral yesterday and it was a beautiful ceremony which was a fitting trubute to the generous,kind wise person Mary was and the great contribution she made to people through politics, journalism , law and fashion Just being in Mary's company was a gift. She is now one of the angels who helped her in her life and I am sure she will watch over you all❤️

We last met in the early nineties for a coffee, and while Mary evolved into a very astute journalist and political advocate, she still retained that lovely persona that I knew. Mary was a great colleague and friend. We worked together at the European Court of Auditors and I have received various messages from her former colleagues there, wishing that her family would know that they, too send their condolences. Kindness was a word used more than once to characterise Mary. But she was much else, as her varied career shows, and I always appreciated her wisdom, honest and humour.
