Sincere condolences to Mary's family and friends on the loss of a truly wonderful lady. Mary was an integral part of the St. John's College community for many years where she extended a warm, friendly welcome to all who walked through the school doors. Ever smiling and full of vibrance and wit, Mary had a natural affinity with the boys of St. John's. For us students, she was a reassuring presence, complementing the work of the excellent teaching staff with her words of support and encouragement. I am grateful to have personally benefited from Mary's words of advice whilst a student in the school and again in more recent years. Along with her great friends, Bro. Declan, Principal, RIP and Fr. Dave Lumsden, RIP, Mary contributed in no small way to making St. John's the supportive, welcoming school that it was. St. John's College and Ballyfermot were richer for Mary's presence. It was a privilege to have known her. May she rest in peace.
