Matthew (Mattie) STAPLETON

Sending sincere condolences to Phyllis and the Stapleton family. Mattie was a gentleman, a pleasure to chat to and the most patient bus driver in Ireland! For years of driving us to the Ragg and then Thurles and beyond , he never let us down and always got us home safe, (usually straight to our front door much to the relief of our poor mother!)
A wonderful man who will be sadly missed

I have so many fun memories of going to the Disco in the Ragg on the bus with Matty.

I had the privilege of knowing him for many years when working in Templemore, he would
regularly pop his head into the office for a wee chat and never left without plenty of laughter.
Those are the memories that I will remember. Will be thinking of you Phyllis and family and
keep ye all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
