I was so saddened to hear of Maureen's passing.
She was such a beautiful, gentle lady and a very loyal friend.
I have lots of happy and fun memories of Maureen and myself as Cub Scout leaders and of our many camping adventures. Maureen was blessed with great patience, a beautiful smile and a brilliant sense of humour. She will be dearly missed by all. Maureen, you are a powerhouse, an inspiration in resilience and the triumph of kindness. I enjoyed getting to know you through Gareth and especially our time as 'roomies' in Iran! Your natural curiosity and willingness to try new things and approach situations with an open mind are admirable and you will be missed by everyone lucky enough to have known you. My memory of us, eating dinner on the terrace of a hotel in Isfahan, and dropping food down for the stray cats will stay with me forever.

Gareth and Negar, I am so sorry for your loss. Gareth, you are a phenomenally great son and you should be so proud of this. You had a wonderful mum but you were a wonderful son. You deserved each other in the best possible way. I can't imagine how much you will be missing your mum but the love that you so clearly have for each other, is honestly, one in a million,
