Chamberlin Family,

My condolences for your loss!

Mel was a Great Friend at INTELSAT, where I met him, and in the years that followed. He was kind and direct, always trying to find an honest solution that worked for all. He was a great person.

God bless you Mel. You will be missed and remembered by Family & Friends.

Jim

Dear Family Chamberlin, I feel very sorry that Mel passed away, he was more than our Super Visor working at Raisting earth station for Intelsat Washington some years ago. His special sense of humour and helpful hints are always in my mind. “never come between a man and his cookies”. We will miss him. Please accept my deep sympathy, Peter Unold, Weilheim(former member of the Intelsat staff)

With sadness we hear of Mel's passing. I worked with him in fruitful partnership for more than 10 years at the Raisting earth station. Our families met frequently in private as good friends. Cheryl, do you remeber the good times you had with your Dad at Rott?

Hello Cheryl,
I'm so sad to hear this.
He was our best boss in raising at Intelsat.
I think back fondly on that time.
But you know that we have the hope to see our loved ones again.
That doesn't take the pain away, but it's good to know.
Viele Grüße aus Oberbayern.
— Ronald Sinda

Imagine a picture, wide sea, a sailing ship sets its white sails and glides out into the open sea. You see how it gets smaller and smaller. Where water and sky meet, it disappears. Then someone says: Now it is over. Another says: It is coming. Death is a horizon, and a horizon is nothing other than the limit of our seeing. When we mourn someone, others are happy to see them again across the border.

We will never forget Mel and Evi and the good times in Ireland and wish you, dear Cherryl and Steve and family, lots of strength for this difficult time of saying goodbye. in my thoughts with you Carsten, Tanja and Tim

Mel made me so welcome when I moved to Munich in 1987! He was the first parent I met in Munich International School; I remember him entering my classroom first thing in the morning on my very first teaching day, when I was quaking at the knees at teaching abroad and living in a world where I could not understand the language; he wished me well as David's new teacher, shaking my hand. That meant the world to me, as I was so nervous about my new job and new life in Munich! We have stayed in touch since.

I loved David, Cheryl, Mel and Evi to bits! I am deeply saddened at the news of Mel's death; he was such a courageous man, just wishing the best for his family and everyone around him and has had to cope with such tragedies over the last year.

Mel and Evi invited me to dinner so many times in their family home! I'll never forget. They were two in a million-I am so sad about their passing.

Rest in peace Mel. You have left your mark on my life.

Wenn Trauer dein Herz erfüllt lass dich von der Liebe
umfangen und von deinen Erinnerungen trösten.
Lass dich von der Hoffnung führen und von den Menschen begleiten,
die dir in dieser Zeit besonders nahe sind.

When grief fills your heart let yourself be from love
embraced and by yours Memories comfort.
Let hope guide you and accompany by the people,
which you at this time are particularly close.
