We taught with Michael for many years in St. Senan’s CBS Limerick. We’re very sorry to hear of his passing. He was an excellent and dedicated teacher.

Sincere sympathy to David and family on Michael's passing. Lived next door to him for 12 years in Avondale. Had many an interesting conversation with him but never a cross word. Was always very obliging if one of the kids had a problem with their homework. May he rest in peace.

Michael was very interested in many topics and was a strong and memorable character to know and work with. He will long be remembered by those who knew him.

The Staff of St Marys Boys School were saddened to hear of Michaels passing . He will be forever remembered by us all cycling his bike. He was one of the first to arrive at the school every morning having cycled all the way from his home in New Market on Fergus in all kinds of weather a distance of some 25 kms. He had a unique sense of humour and a way with words . He was serious yet funny . He was a loyal staff member and very independent. He alone could ruffle a few feathers and get away with it . We have shared fond stories of our time with Michael since his passing and we all agree Michael was his own man, happy and contented with his life. I wish to extend our deepest sympathy to his brother David and extended family members
