I enjoyed many a telephone call from him and it was always a pleasure to get all the information about our many relations and friends
He was a great ambassador for an Garda Siochana and I will miss his company and friendship
I was sorry to have missed the funeral but was unable to attend due to the fact I was in hospital but will catch up at a later date

We knew Mick around town in the eighties, mainly from Clancy’s. He was warm, friendly and very funny, we enjoyed him. He was also very intelligent, a step ahead of us always!
Some years later, I met Mick in The Huntsman bar in Tower. He was having a drink with his late father in law, Oliver. Though time had passed since we had met, Mick, happily, was the same as ever…..a dote.
