Michael Hayden

Condolences to the family of the late Mick Hayden. Well remembered by all in ESB International Bahrain.

My deepest sympathies to all the Hayden family on the death of Michael. I have very good memories of him when he was in Dundalk in the 1970s and later when I worked on the Jubail project when he was in charge of ESBI.

Dear Michael, Jackie, Anne & Marie sincerest condolences on the passing of your Dad, He was a most wonderful character and had a very particular style which i very much liked and appreciated. He made an enormous contribution to many areas during his lifetime and in particular to the engineering profession where he was a true and outstanding leader. May he rest in peace.

I am so very sorry to hear the news of Michael's passing. I didn't know him well but he was a great support to my mother, Iseult McCarthy when her partner, Michael Higgins (formerly of IEI) passed and I remember him speaking so beautifully at his funeral. My sincere condolences to all his family.

Michael was a driving force in the Irish Academy of Engineering. It was a privilege to work with him. May he rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Michael’s passing. We worked together for several years in Engineers Ireland; I have very fond memories of driving around the country with Michael, accrediting engineer employers on their CPD practices, with frequent stops for cups of tea! I really valued Michael’s advice and intellect on how the programme should be expanded, and enjoyed his company on our many travels. May he rest in peace

Michael, Jacqueline, Anne, and Marie and all the Hayden family we could not adequately express to you our gratitude for Mick and Anne’s true, loyal and loving friendship to our late father Des, and to our mother, Mary. After Des died, Mick continued to visit Mary regularly in Limerick, up to just a few days ago. He was kind, insightful, intelligent, genuine, fun: an exceptional person, and true gentleman. We will all miss him deeply, especially our mother Mary. He has left a very fine legacy. May he rest in peace. Roisin Greene and the Greene family, Limerick.

So sad to hear the news. Michael was our mentor cousin and as children we had much fun being driven up and down Seafield Avenue at speed in the back of his Volkswagen Beetle which had room for three small kiddies behind the rear seat.Needless to say seat belts were not a consideration back then and great fun was had by all. Michael was a stalwart and the eldest cousin we most looked up to.He will be sadly missed.
