After Des died, Mick continued to visit Mary regularly in Limerick, up to just a few days ago. He was kind, insightful, intelligent, genuine, fun: an exceptional person, and true gentleman. So sad to hear the news. Michael was our mentor cousin and as children we had much fun being driven up and down Seafield Avenue at speed in the back of his Volkswagen Beetle which had room for three small kiddies behind the rear seat.Needless to say seat belts were not a consideration back then and great fun was had by all. Michael was a stalwart and the eldest cousin we most looked up to.He will be sadly missed.
