Dear Ute, Liam and Luke.

Michael was always so warm and inviting, as you all were, to me and then Kathy (my wife) and Cooper (our first child) when we came over to visit you all in Ireland. We will always look back fondly, on the brief time we spent with Michael and the family.
Ute, Luke and Liam, please always feel free to contact me if you're ever over in Australia, you will always have a place to stay with us in Sydney and at the very least, we'd love to share a meal with you, as you did with us when we came to your home in Ireland.

Our condolences to Michael's family both in Ireland and Australia. We enjoyed his company when he lived down under such a long time ago. A very nice guy he will be fondly remembered.

Deepest sympthies to all Michael's family on his sad passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him only once when he was my mentor through Farming for Nature. He was a wealth of knowledge and had a lovely way of imparting it to those aound him. He will leave a huge legacy after him. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

To my Aunty Ute and my cousins Luke and Liam, I am so sorry for your huge loss. I have very fond memories of my Uncle Michael. From when I was little and he would be around our home to my early twenties when I visited the farm, Uncle Michael was always strong, kind and funny, he would lovingly tease and poke fun but was always warm. My mum, Genevieve, Michael's sister, feels a strong loss of her brother, and we continue to talk about our memories together of an adventurous, bright, strong, kind man who was so proud of his beautiful life and family. You will know me from working in Horan's Health Store in Cashel. We loved you and Michael when you came in to the shop. We loved the banter 🫣. But we will never forget the comradery. He was a legend. I don't know how to send you my condolences. I wish I had magic to do that. You and your gorgeous boys deserve some magic. Sending you condolences xxx

We are very sorry to hear of Mickeys passing . We both have great memories of the Hickey household in North Avenue in the 60s - always a Mecca for fun and Brittas Bay . He was a wonderful character and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
