I'm just after finding out about the death of Michael. We went to college together in UCD and became good friends. He read a poem at my wedding in 2019. He was an absolute gem and one of my favourite people. My sincere condolences to you on the loss of Michael. He will be sorely missed

I was so sorry to hear of Michael’s death as I was so looking forward to meeting up with him again soon. He brought to our mens meetings, so much energy, honesty, concern for others, humour, and the power to make you feel good about yourself. I will miss him and I’m sure the other men will miss him also. May God welcome you with open arms. Goodbye brother.

Devastated to hear the news. He is a big loss to the young people of Ireland, he had such a gift at helping them. Many people have got their lives back on track thanks to Mick. It was a lovely get together in the house last night. Thinking of all the family. RIP Mick and thanks.

To the Kilmartins, I am so sorry for your loss. Michael used to come to Merginstown and often dropped in to say hi to my Mum and Dad. I know they really enjoyed talking to him. I can't be at the funeral but will be thinking of you on the day.

I'm so sorry to learn of Mick's death.. I've gotten know Michael over the past 20 years and came to really appreciate him: his intelligence and intellect, his fortitude and stoicism, his compassion, good humour and sharp-witted way with words. He showed me a great generosity of spirit at a time when I really needed it. His death is a huge loss to those of us lucky enough to be counted amongst his 'wide circle of friends'.
