What sad news! I first met Michael at the Eagle Tavern Irish music sessions in Manhattan back in the 1970s... he helped organize the literary journal ADRIFT that I edited and which published all the essential Irish poets and writers including James Liddy , Thomas McCarthy and Francis Stuart....among so many others.... we shared so many things... he had the good fortune to be able to truly live in both Manhattan and in Northern Ireland
