Deepest sympathy to Mary and family on Michael's sudden death.
I was shocked to hear that my old neighbour and friend had died. We knew each other for over 75 years and had kept in touch down the years. I have great memories of football and fishing during our childhood. A gentleman who will be missed by the extended McTigue and Lavin families and all who knew him.

Sincere sympathy to you Mary and all the Lavin family on the sad passing of your brother Michael. Michael was a most gentle and unassuming man imbued with a nice friendly manner always. He has left a lovely impression on everyone who knew him. He was a good neighbour and loved chatting about everyday happenings. And, living as he did within a hop and solo of the Mayo/Galway borderline, football talk ever ranked highest among his favourite topics. For Michael, no conversation was complete without also mulling over the latest state of play. May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
