We heard today of Michael's passing from our shared friend Clarence Cullen. It is with great sadness that we send our condolences to Michael's family. May Michael rest in peace.

We fondly remember playing soccer with Michael in "Dinny's Stadium," the once fallow field above our family home (now Shrewsbury). Michael was a unique soccer talent. He was able able to read the flow a game, ghost into the space, and more often than not score with ease of a god. Or so it seemed to our then teenage eyes. A true hero to those of us who played street league soccer with him.

But what we remember most about Michael was his presence as a person. He was a genuinely nice person, and a truly decent human being. Know that he was cherished by all who had the good fortune to know him.

We send his family our deepest sympathies, along with our prayers. May he rest in peace.

Sincerely,

Barry, Billy and Tony Sloane
