It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Mick Fogarty after a full and active life well spent. Mick was always so full of devilment with his roguish but friendly and genuine welcoming smile. He was one of life’s great characters and a super raconteur.

I have many happy childhood memories of times spent with Mick. Popping into the old Carnew barracks, trips to Tipp, the greyhounds and gun dogs and the big warm greetings. He was a great friend and I will always hold him in my heart.
