I am utterly dumfounded and lost for words having heard this awful news tonight. Michael was a great friend and we talked frequently...and as recent as a couple of weeks ago. I am heartbroken to hear the news of the Michael's passing. Bridie, Helen, Eoin, Emma and the entire O'Donnell family have our sincere sympathy. Michael was a lovely person. He was kind, genuine, and always had a smile for you. He lit up any room or family occasion that he attended. I will always remember you Michael for how you lived your life. You worked hard, loved hard, and always made time to laugh and enjoy a night's craic. May you rest in peace.

My memories of Kilcar are of Time spent making Hay in the fields with Michael his family and friends in the 60s. So this heartbreaking news has come as such a shock as I were so looking forward to spending time with him when we meet family in Kilcar in July.
