It was only after we left school did we realise how fortunate we we were to have had Mick (woodie) O'Grady as our teacher, mentor and role model He was tough but fair and had to be being a proud Kerry man in a North Dublin suburb in the 70,s He helped most of his students to excel beyond their natural ability and I was one of them. Thank you and may he resr in peace.
— Aidan McWeeney
Mick was a great friend and colleague to all in Ardscoil la Salle not to mention his dedication to his students who were priviledged to sit in his classroom. So sad to hear of his passing and sincere condolences to all his family.Mick may you now enjoy the company of your beloved Terri in your heavenly home.
— Paula O Connor
My deepest sympathy to all the O'Grady family and extended family. Michael was in my HS class, was witty and the brightest, just a straight A-Student and I heard was an awesome teacher too. I have fond memories of Michael growing up in our little Templenoe and Greenane national school. You will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace in your Heavenly home with those you love.
