My deepest sympathies to John , Barry and all Michael's family. I was fortunate to have Michael as a friend. We met through the photography club. We toured the beauty spots of Mayo together regularly, and Michael shared all his "secret" locations with me. He encouraged me to become involved with the Irish Photographic Federation, and for a number of years we travelled together up and down to Dublin. It was on those days out that Michael would speak with pride of his wife Claire, children John, Patricia, Barry and David and his grandchildren from who he got much joy. Michael was always generous with his time and knowledge, and had a real live and let live attitude. He dealt with adversity and loss with incredible strength . He had an ever present sense of humour with joke that would make me cringe! I miss you Michael, may you rest in peace.
