Ann and Barry- I was so sorry to hear Michael had passed away-Thank you for giving the country the chance to get to meet him on “Room to Improve”. It was so heart warming to see how much you loved and cared for him. You must be devastated. The greater the love- the greater the grief. Both will stay with you. But please believe Michael is still near even though you can’t see him- look for the signs. He will look after you both now. God bless

Michael came into this world and had a ray of light over him which shone and stood out. He was a masterpiece. Not knowing him personally only through TV but we are still deeply saddened by the news of his death. A light from all the lives he touched is gone and a wonderful soul has gone to Heaven. It's obvious Michael's friendships and great memories he made and all the fun everyone had, that came in contact with him imprinted in the hearts of the nation and will never be diminished by time. Deepest sympathy to Ann & Barry who no doubt was exemplary foster parents to Michael and his parents and siblings who shared their son. What a wonderful blessing for both families as Michael was a treasure from above who brought joy and laughter, warmth and special charm, thoughtfulness and love that came from deep inside. Foster Parents are like buttons they hold everything together and take the place of parents for periods of time for which we are so grateful if only there were all like Ann & Barry. Deepest sympathy to all.
— Oliver & Bridie Galway
