Michael Tuohy

Sincere sympathy to the Tuohy family on the death of Mick. He was a remarkable person, humble, generous and loyal. A highly regarded piper, I recall him playing in the Pipers’ Club in Thomas Street where he and his family were actively involved. He was a member of the famed Rowsome Quartet. On another occasion I recall him winning an All-Ireland Trio competition with Ciarán O’Reilly and Tom Murphy. A proud Dub, he will be sadly missed.

Sudden and unexpected death of Michael a shock. Sad to hear the news. Such a friendly man always ready for a chat and a bit of humour. I will always remember a man of quiet and unobtrusive faith on the back seat of the church with his wife Claire. May he rest in peace.

I've great memories of Mick & Claire visiting our home in Annameadle, Toomevara, Co Tipp. A lovely friendly man & a brilliant musician on the Pipes. My dad, his Uncle Ned really enjoyed his visits. My sincere sympathy to Claire and to all your family on the loss of Mick who was such a gentleman and a man of faith. I will miss his smile and the glint in his eye as we enjoyed an argument about Kilkenny and Tipp on the hurling field! I was never quick enough for him! Mick was very proud of his Toomevara connections and boasted of all the great people who came from there. I am grateful that I had the privilege of knowing him and pray that he is now enjoying his eternal reward in Heaven.
