Micheal O’Suilleabhain’s passing so early in life is a great loss and he will be missed in Ireland and beyond by all those he inspired and interacted with.
I will remember Micheal as a great Client an ally and an inspirational driving force behind the design and development of the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.
I have only good memories of Micheal during all those years of interaction over the IWAoMD Project.
I am saddened at his passing.

so so sorry to hear of Michael 's death first met him when he came to Ballymacarbry with Noireen ni Riain to teach us Music , I have fond memories of him changing the tone and speed of tunes we never taught possible great sense of humour ...... and patience with us met him many times after , my daughter Niamh studied under him at UL SHE PLAYED WITH HIM on the stage during one of the FLEADHS in Clonmel and at other concerts , H e was a great guy and we are saddened by his death ..... HIS COMPOSITIONS WILL LIVE ON may Michael rest in peace

My sincere sympathies to you and the family on Michael passing. He was my lecturer in UCC and on the Board of Maoin Cheoil in Ennis where I worked. He is between worlds now and will no doubt continue his music when he gets to the next. RIP.

I got to hear him play live at the Fleadh this year - only briefly - but I am so glad my children will have that memory too - they will not hear his like again. We have lost a magical musician who showcased the wonders of Irish music at every turn. His family have lost a partner and a Dad many years too soon. RIP Micheal. Your music will live on.

I've been sad all day since I turned the car radio on. I learned from him in UL. He was a gentle and beautiful soul whose natural spring of music flowed with originality, courage and deep Irishness. Go raibh maith agat for much Mícheál. Peace to your family and loved ones. Horse into heaven where you'll have the angels dancing and laughing and sing your song. The World Academy was gifted with your scholarship and vision and my other alma mater in Westland Row, the RIAM could have done with a term of you teaching us there what the "I" in RIAM actually meant! Rest in Peace for ever. Thank you!!
