So sorry to hear of the passing of Big Mike. I was privileged to count him among the many loyal listeners to my Wednesday and Sunday night Late Shows for many years. He was a lovely gentlemen who radiated a peaceful and serene nature. He was the kind of man you would always remember after meeting him for the first time. He loved the country music and ballads and relayed that to me in the Ard Rí Hotel when we had a grand chat about Tuam and his interest in farming and rural matters. Big Mike held a special place in the affections of so many people and was a grand ambassador for the town. My condolences to his brother Tom and his sister Catherine and the family circle at this sad time.
