We were all very saddened to hear of the passing of Fr Seamus. Fr Seamus was a frequent visitor to Summit New Jersey. We first met him around 20 years ago, he was a frequent visitor to our home and the home of the late Jack and Mary McCarthy. Fr Seamus was a wonderful, knowledgeable and caring man. I personally had many long, informative and meaningful conversations with him. He was very easy to get on with. Topics discussed were Irish and American politics and of course the GAA. He was very passionate ( and Knowledgeable) about Tipperary hurling. He once joked with me a few years back that Tipp and Mayo would do the double( well at least he got 50% of that right)
A wonderful, genuine man, who inspired our family. We are blessed to have known, broken bread with, and spent quality time in the company of Fr Seamus Ryan.
Rest in Peace
