Deepest Sympathy to Eimer, John Jr, Darina , Orla, and your extended families on the sad loss of such a wonderful man. As well as being such an accomplished Surgeon, he was the composite all-round Doctor, to so many patients including my late wife Marion,- kind, caring , patient, always ready to explain and encourage. We heard of his illness with great distress. It was so unfair after all he had done for so many others. He was a selfless advocate for the people of this Region and a great accessible resource for those of us in General Practice. His Funeral Mass was a fitting Tribute. I hope you will be able to find some consolation in your own memories and all the others who loved him. May he rest in peace.

Our very deepest sympathy to Eimer & all your family on the recent passing of John. He was a wonderful kind hearted man to whom we will forever be indebted for his knowledge & reassurance that meant everything to myself & Aidan as his patients for over 30 years. Everyone that was blessed to have crossed his path either on a professional or personal basis received extraordinary care & attention. No matter what challenge presented itself he had a way of calming the waters & gently explaining with ease what course of action needed to be followed. He took such an interest in his patients & our consultations more often than not revolved around upcoming race meetings & potential winners. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this deeply heartbreaking time.
