A wonderful, brave woman who fought and fought against the destruction of Tara and inspired me to campaign in two newspapers for the cause. Sadly, we lost. But it was really Ireland which lost and now, we have lost our hero.
— Paddy Murray
Very shocked to hear this awful and very sad news. Far too young and vibrant to go. Muireann was clever, intelligent, funny, passionate, a humanitarian in all the facets of the meaning of the word, had a cultural and social conscience, a superb command and love of the Irish language and all things Irish - hard to imagine her vivacity feistiness and vibrancy is no more but memories of her will always be strong and clear and distinct . Sincere condolences to her family
— Brid Feely

A Dheirbhile dhil, mo chomhbhrón ó chroí leat féin agus le Clíona ar bhás bhur ndeirfiúr Muireann. Nuair a chuala mé an scéal ar RnaG tráthnóna Dé Céadaoin, ní bréag a rá gur bhain sé an anáil dhíom. Tá súil agam go dtabharfaidh Dia misneach agus faoiseamh daoibh féin agus do chlann, cairde agus comhghleacithe Mhuireann sna laethanta romhaibh. Ní maith liom bhur mbris.

Le leas, Mícheál Ó Flaithearta
