My sincere sympathy to Nelly's extended family, friends and her former nursing colleagues. Nelly was a very special person, that I had the pleasure of knowing from the Auxiliary Hospital.
From the moment she stepped inside the door to begin her day and night work she lit up the place.
Her kindness , care, dedication and joy touched the lives of so many people. The long stairs before the lift was installed, she ran up and down numerous times daily with that loving smile on her face, a word for everyone on the way. Cups of tea and chats with Nelly were memorable , a break to sit with her Auxiliary family as we all sat around the table and talked about life. Reunited now with her son Edward, husband Joe family and special nursing friends , may Nelly be rewarded for the beautiful kind life she lived. Rest in Peace Nelly.
