My sincerest condolences to Nick's parents, partner, and brother Brian on hearing of his passing.
I looked up to Nick during my time in St Peter's College, seeing him on stage in The Fiddler and in Bird. He was a kind, friendly and talented gentleman. Rest in Peace Nick.
— Paul Fox, Crossabeg
Nick was a remarkable person and he leaves behind a huge legacy after such a short number of years. I have such fond memories of our time in St Peter’s, from silly conversations during lunch in the ref, to watching him light up a stage with Bird or in Fiddler.

We saw less of each other in recent times but I along with many others watched on with pride as our classmate continued to excel. I was always struck by how the things Nick chose to spend his time on, from journalism to music to writing children’s books, were things which added some good into the world.

Any time I met Nick in recent years was such a fun time and he had a razor sharp wit which could leave you in stitches of laughter. I hope that Nick, Bernie, Brian and Lewis, and Nick’s extended family and friends can take some small solace in the fact that the world is a much better place for having had Nick in it.
— Shane Gubbins
Brian, I am so sorry for your loss. Sincere condolences to you and your family and circle of friends. Look after yourselves.

I wish to extend my deepest condolences to Nick's family, his partner and his friends at this very difficult time.

As a fellow Irish person living in Glasgow I was a great admirer of his journalistic work on both television and radio.

May Nick Rest in Peace .

Dear Bernie, Nick, Brian, Jamie and to you Lewis,

I am so sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. I knew Nick during our teenage years in Wexford and I always enjoyed bumping into him over the years since then. He was always such a bright light, full of energy, chats and laughter. I always felt so comfortable in his presence and I know this feeling would only be but amplified for those closest to him. He was so talented during those school years, I am not at all surprised to read about the legacy and career he went on to build since then. I remember so clearly attending a gig of the band Bird, for which he was the lead singer, this is actually the night when I meet my Simon. I am so grateful to have these memories and to have known him, even in a small way.

I hope you all are surrounded by as much love and support as possible during this heartbreaking time. Xx
— Amy Rossiter
I had the joy of performing as Nick’s wife in Fiddler on the Roof. Getting to see Nick’s incredible talent up close was an absolute privilege. But what I remember the most is how Nick made me feel. I was so nervous as a first time performer and Nick made me feel so calm and safe. His humour, kindness, sense of fun and reliability made Fiddler on the Roof, to this day, one of the best experiences of my life. My deepest condolences go to Nick, Bernie, Brian, Lewis and Nick’s extended family on this unthinkable loss.
— Lorraine Byrne
My sincere sympathies to Nick, Bernie, Brian and Lewis and Nick's extended family and friends on his sad and sudden passing. May he rest in peace.
— Theresa Canning, Curracloe
Dear,Nick,Bernie,Brian,Lewis and all that mourn Nick Junior
We send our sincerest condolences to you all at this very sad time. It is such a difficult cross to loose
someone so loved at such a young age

Nicky was special and a shining star from the first time we met him at Laura’s birthday party when he was just 5. His animation and love for life was clear even then.
He wanted to leave school and join
the circus with Laura.
As we watched his talent grow and saw him on TV he never lost that magic and wonderful sparkle which
was also reflected in his writing
as a brilliant author

I hope you all get some solace in the wonderful memories you have of Nick over the years and they help you get through the most difficult of times. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers

Rest in eternal Peace Nick and may
Your gentle soul shine bright

I've read so many overwhelming tributes to Nick over the last week. As a fellow Wexfordman working in Scotland I am so proud of his achievements.
Its refreshing to hear how he remained grounded despite his talents and outstanding success.
His reporting on BBC Scotland was testimony to his personality, wit and sheer genius. Most impressive of all - unlike many contemporaries - he maintained his Wexford accent which endeared him to Scottish viewers. Nick Sheridan- an ambassador for Wexford was and is the real deal.
His family & partner will find it so difficult to fill the gap left behind by such a gregarious & engaging presence. My thoughts are with you. JJ

Deepest sympathies to Nick's family and friends on his passing.

My first memory of Nick was when he played Tevye in the St. Peter's College and Loreto School production of "Fiddler on the Roof" in the National Opera House. I checked the programme during the show to see who it was playing the part and noted to myself that Nick would be one to watch out for in years to come.

I didn't have to wait long as soon after he joined us in Wexford Light Opera Society for a few shows where his talent and kindness shone.

It was always a pleasure to see him progress in his career on screen and as an author.

May Nick rest in peace.
— Noel Butler
My deepest sympathies to Nick's Family, Friends & Partner. Nick clearly leaves an immense legacy behind him.
I only met Nick a handful of times through musicals and mutual friends. Even those few times gave the sense of the great person he was. I remember the first time I met him, when he was about 6 or 7, and accompanied Nick Snr on a 6th class school tour over to Clare. One evening everyone had to do their party piece and Nick sang "Surrey with the fringe on top", holding his own amongst those twice his age!

Sending love and care to you all. Look after each other and I hope the memories can in time bring you comfort.
— Michael Flynn (Former St Aidans Pupil)
Lord rest his soul 🙏🙏🙏🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮

Nick taught me during my first year of university and he was a great lecturer. He gave a lot of good feedback on work and had a nice way of teaching. The class he taught was also very entertaining. I've been quite devastated hearing of his passing. May he rest in peace. Sending love to all his loved ones. 💔🕊🙏🏼
— Vanessa
My deepest sympathies to Nick, Bernie, Brian, Lewis and all of Nick’s family. I was so lucky to have known Nick and honoured to have called him a friend.

Ever since we were young he seemed a natural at anything he laid his hand to, be it writing, music, filmmaking or any other of his many talents. His incredible voice, whether singing alongside Killian or his bandmates in Bird, provided the soundtrack to our teenage years. No matter how long it had been since you last met him, he always made you feel right at home with his warmth, kindness and brilliant sense of humour.

Nick inspired and elevated everyone around him and the joy he brought to life is something none of us will ever forget.
— Peter Corboy
Our sincere condolences to Nick, Bernie and family on your sad untimely passing of a young son Nick. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.
— Danny & Mary Cooper, Ballygarrett.
My deepest sympathies to Nick and Bernie, Lewis, Brian, Vivienne, and all of Nick's family and friends.

Nick was truly a remarkable individual. His talent and passion shone through in everything he did and this was equally matched by his kindness, genuineness and warmth. It was an absolute privilege to be his friend.

I will forever cherish the moments we spent together, from school days recording music, playing our CD for the first time in the car, reading the bands review in Hotpress Magazine and the sharing of countless stages together. In everything he did he was always so warm, kind, talented, and humble. I mo chroí go deo. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.
— Nigel Usher
