From the first day I saw Noel playing for Ireland I loved his style and commitment. Then when I got to know him, over 35 years ago, I knew my judgement was correct. One of my great pleasures was going to the K Club and meeting Noel, encountering his humour and his advice, particularly about what we should be doing at Celtic Football Club. The world has got darker since Noel’s passing. My deepest sympathy to his family. May he rest in peace.
