A past IHI President, Fellow and a guiding light for our industry, may his gentle soul rest in peace.
— Irish Hospitality Institute
May I add my deepest and sincerest condolences to the entire Duff Family. His passing will be deeply missed. I knew Noel through my earliest participation in the IHI (Irish Hospitality Institute) in 1972, or as it was back then, the Irish Hotel & Catering Institute. Noel was always a gentleman, a quiet, yet dynamic force in the growth of the Hospitality Industry and I looked up to him as a professional, inspiring colleague, though, I never dared to put myself in his esteemed league. When I became President of the Institute Noel was a wonderful support and his hotel was always a warm gathering place for Members. The Industry has lost a colossus, yet his name will not be forgotten, I believe he will be long remembered in the annals of our Industry. Rest in peace Noel, your work is done.
