Noel Kelliher

Noel…. So sorry and shocked to hear of your sudden passing. In goods in wards there was always banter and good humour. Usually in my case Noel would exclaim “ what are they sending you now”? A much cherished colleague behind the scenes, Marty Whelan.

Very sorry to hear this news. Noel was a lovely guy, quiet but good sense of humour, often shared a quick word as we locked up our bikes in the mornings. Cearbhall, TUG Office, next door to his.

You knew you were instantly in trouble as soon as you saw Noel greeting you at Goods Inwards as the slagging would commence, and your two minute trip would always turn into 20 minutes of laughter. I have great memories of Noel, from playing football with him in St. Mary's, to the craic we had during the great days of Irish football heading back to O'Neill's to celebrate, to the nights out over the years. Always loved his wit and his company. Such a lovely man who will be sadly missed by all.

To the entire Kelliher Family and extended, I want to offer my sincere condolences to you all, especially his loving mam Rose on your great and sad loss of our colleague and dear friend Noel.
We are all devastated at his sudden passing.

Noel was a work colleague of mine for almost 30 years, but we were friends for almost 40 years.We had pints together, played Sports, long chats and much more. We shared the same tea room for our work breaks hearing the news of all our families events and going on's as we grew up together as 'Our Print Dep Family'.

His wit would often leave you head scratching for an answer, but mostly I never got one for him. Yes our Noel (as I would like to call him)was just a legend in our Unit, he was Dedicated, Respectful, Honest, but most of all....Loyal to us, and all his RTE colleagues and to RTE as the National Broadcaster.

Sleep softly our friend....."you'll never walk alone"
