Saddened to learn of Noel's passing. Condolences to the Duggan and Brennan families. Noel was a dear friend and neighbour when he lived in Stillorgan. Enjoyed our chats, social outings and listening to Noel sing and play guitar. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

So very sorry to hear of Noel's passing. He was a thorough gentleman. I knew him very well in the early 70's when Clannad was in its infancy and we used to frequent the Leinster in Rathmines on a Saturday night..... Lovely happy memories. May he rest in peace.

We spent our holidays in Bunbeg for many years when our children were going up.
We also enjoyed the music and singing in Hiudai Beag's and Leo's and sometimes I took part in the sessions. Those were the days and nights, little did we realise how famous Clannad etc would become.

I was working in the Arlington hotel and bar in Dublin around 2004 and Noel came in for a Drink. He was the only customer at that time and I recognised him immediately as I was a huge fan of Clannad. I was nervous but I built up the courage to chat to him. I told him that I wanted Jorney’s End played at my funeral and he shed a tear as he had written it.
