To his family and friends. Noel and I were boyhood friends. I am sorry to hear of his passing, we used the lead lines from O'Casey's playes. He wanted to be an actor I wanted to be a writer. He surpassed my although I had limited sucess. I remember when him in his early days in the Abbey (in fact I remember futher back than that visiting his home in Greenmount) he gave me free tickets to that show about the English Pope, I'm afraid I sold them to buy food. My very last memory of Noel is staying in his bedsit the night before I sailed for England.....and after that the world.

I went to Sullivan’s quay school with Noel and we used to go to the baths every night And Christmas Day .he was a great swimmer . both our fathers died when we were very young and it created a bond between us .so sorry to hear of his passing
