My thoughts and prayers to the O'Mahony family for their recent loss. Noel was a gentleman and a true sports ambassdor for Cork. I had the pleasure in meeting Noel at the 2007 Cork City Supporters Club Hall of fame. May he rest in peace

I was sad to read of Noel's death & I send my sympathy to all his family.
Noel and myself were in the same class in Scoil Chríost Rí, Turners Cross (1953). Then I ways parted - I followed his career with interest but I met him just once since 1953 - on O'Connell St in Dublin. I remember we had a good chat that day. I always had great respect for him.
Peace to Noel and to all his family

Sincere sympathy to you all on the death of Noel. I had the pleasure of meeting him and getting to know him in the last number of years. He was a lovely gentleman and a great conversations with all his stories from his soccer days. He will be sadly missed by lots of people including Roy Buckle and John Olden. God better watch out for that

To the O' Mahoney family: I am sorry to hear of the passing of Noel. A great loss to Cork City, Ireland, and the O Mahoney Family. A legend who had and has given so much to the SPORT he loved and had so much more to pass on to the football community at large. He was my friend, mentor as was all the O' Mahoney family to me. He will be missed. He is now in a place where he will be able to debate with all those great "Sons of Cork Football" the ins and outs of the beautiful game.
