So sad to hear of Nora's passing. I have very fond memories of staying with Nora and Tony when I first went to Dublin in the early 1970's, she was so caring and helpful. Their lovely home in Longwood Avenue was so welcoming to many more lodgers and visitors down the years.Nora was kind and friendly, showed great care to them all and kept in touch with many of them.
She was an elegant lady, loved her style and had a great sense of humour, very popular with her neighbours and friends in Longwood Avenue and South Circular Road but never forgot Killyan and Newbridge.
It's the end of an era, Nora is the last of the Shaughnessys from Killyan. May she be reunited with her husband Tony and all the Shaughnessys and may she rest in eternal peace.

Sincere sympathy to all the Mannion family and to Carmel Shaughnessy who was so good to her for many years. It was my pleasure to have known Nora and Tony a long time. May she rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear of Nora’s passing. Nora always had a lovely smile and friendly face, and loved style. She always called into see me when I worked in Arnotts and was part of our lives through our childhood.
I visited her a few times in Mill Lane and she still had that lovely smile.
