Nora was my greatest mentor in ESB . She guided me with all her skills and I will be forever grateful for that.. She was a wonderful lady and I very often considered her as my second mother. I am sure all who knew Nora well will understand that. So sorry to hear of her passing. Rest in peace Nora.

What a lady... Bursting with intelligence, warm heartedness, fun and the highest of moral standards, spreading love and peace even before The Beatles.
Nora was a joy to be with on any occasion. her garden was an endless haven of all sorts of well loved and tended plants and surprises, like her mind. No matter what subject arose, the well-read Nora had a witty apposite story to have everyone in stitches. Her kindness and helpful nature was of benefit to many. She will have a brilliant time in Heaven with new and old audiences. May she enjoy everlasting Peace.
— Ann Quinlan ESB friend

We give our very sincere sympathies to you James and to all the family on the death of Nora. We were aware of her goodness and kindness because our Micheal, your friend, often told of how well she treated him when he got to know her through you. We read of her many talents in the condolences. May God reward her for all the good she did on earth and for her wonderful example to all. God grant her eternal rest, peace and joy in her new home in Heaven.

Sincere condolences to all of the family.

Nora was a truly remarkable person. As a colleague over many years in the ESB I got to appreciate her range of talents. Gifted with a bright intelligence, she took great delight in the knottiest crosswords, riddles, puzzles of all kinds as well as being able to run off witty verses at the drop of a hat. She had a champagne personality and was always bubbling over whenever she’d meet a friend on the road- this despite enduring a debilitating illness for decades. She never allowed her illness to restrict her, continuing her travels for as long as she could. She was a woman of very profound faith and had an enormous empathy with everyone she came across. This latter quality, together with her great sense of fun, made her very popular with much younger colleagues as they felt she as on their wavelength. Nora was extraordinarily thoughtful and kind to a great many people in a very quiet way. It can be truly said that a bright light has been quenched. May she rest in peace!
