My deepest sympathies to the Smith family on the passing of Nora. May she rest in peace. I have the fondest of memories of her when I had the privilege to work with her in St. Anne’s.

The lessons I learnt from Nora at her hockey courses organised by the LHA in the mid 70’s were never forgotten.
Nora had the ability to make the game simple for both children and coaches.

I am so sorry to hear of Nora's death. Nora was one of the best half backs to play for Muckross, Leinster and Ireland. What an inspirational, fearless and fair woman. Ms Smith knew how to live life and encouraged everyone she taught in St Annes to do the same. She taught me to reach for my dreams and has been a hugely positive influence in my life. She took us to many hockey and swimming glories and has been a positive influence on sport remaining a part of my daily activities.
