I was so very saddened to hear of Noreen’s passing away. I have very fond memories of Noreen from the early days of the Lismore Choir. Noreen was a founder member and was hugely supportive to me as the choir’s first director. I remember her lovely singing voice and her constant, strong and positive presence in the choir.
Noreen was such a wonderful, kind and thoughtful person with a great sense of fun and a twinkle in her eye!
My sincere condolences to all of Noreen’s family. She will stay forever in your hearts.

We are very sad & upset about Noreen's death .
Noreen & I met shortly after we started working in Dublin many years ago We shared houses in Clontarf & Whitehall with Patricia from Longford and Teresa who had known Noreen since their schooldays together . We shared the house in Whitehall until Noreen and Bill married .In the years since then we did not meet a huge number of times , but we always kept in touch and never lost contact with each other.
Noreen's illness and death is a huge shock and our hearts go out to her seven children Frances, David Robbie , Billy ,Alan, Mark & Jean , their families ,to Mary ,Breda, Donal ,& John , to Diarmuid and all her relatives & friends .A lot of hearts are broken. She will be greatly missed in the community ,but her family & loved ones will miss her most of all .
Our deepest sympathy to all of you .
We are so glad to have known Noreen . She was a very special person .

Noreen - our neighbour, our friend and one of the mammies who minded us on the road. Her passing is a terrible loss. We will miss her wandering into us when she was going for a walk, to check the garden and the tunnel, the 5 minute chats that would turn into a hour, the summer evenings when there was a sneaky glass of wine to be had while we listened to her grandson’s band practicing across the valley, our mutual love of nature & of course the melon growing competitions! The seeds that were brought from near and far!
