Just heard the very sad news of Olive's passing, was only chatting to her few months ago, she was a brilliant music teacher so thoughtful and caring, may she Rest In Peace

Olive was my wonderful friend for the last 15 years, We shared many chats on the trials and tribulations of running a music school and life in general.
She examined our pupils annually for The Victoria college of Music and was always so kind, encouraging and inspiring to our young candidates.She always had the craic with them with each child coming out beaming.

Thinking of Olive’s family and friends at this time. Olive was there from the beginning of my musical journey and eventually became a dear colleague. She was always so warm and friendly. She was an incredibly hard worker and loved what she did. It’s hard to believe that such a vibrant person is gone.

Olive taught me accordion from the age of seven. Even then, in the early years of her teaching journey in Crilly's School of Music, she was an inspiration. Unsure if she ever knew how profound her encouragement had been for me, but there is no doubt it left a legacy. The Marino Waltz shall always remind me of her patience and kindness.
