He became a great friend to our deceased father Tom after they met working in London, went racing together and subsequently became Godfather to Siobhán. Fondly remembered by our extended family. Deepest sympathies to the Fitzgerald family on the death of Pa. A legend of the sport of greyhound racing. Memories of Wimbledon and Clonmel. Many a story could be recalled of Pa, Patsy Byrne’s and Billy O’Toole. Those were the days. May they all rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Pa and wish to express my condolences. I'll remember with fondness and a smile many things about Pa including cutting his hair, badly, whilst he sat at my nan (his sister Rose's) kitchen table. He was always so appreciative of the terrible job i'd done; I remember encouraging him to go for just a few minutes more before having yet another cigarette - this of course before he gave up; and of course of many lovely evenings spent in his company invariably enjoying a drink. You were a kind and well loved man. I hope you rest in peace.
