It is with the deepest regret that I have just received this sad news. Paddy was an esteemed very close colleague for several years in Bord na Mona. He was a great support and help to me above and beyond the call of duty. Paddy was extremely efficient, totally honourable and completely reliable. He was also a great character and always good for a laugh. I offer my deepest condolences to all Paddy's family and am very sorry to have missed his funeral. May he rest in peace

So saddened to hear of the passing of dear Paddy RIP - was in Athlone GC last weekend and had been enquiring about him - I first met Paddy back in 1993 when I worked in the Leisure Centre in the Hodson Bay Hotel - I loved to see Paddy come in and have great chats with him while the sweat wud be rolling off him while he was peddling on the bike or pounding it out on the treadmill - played a few rounds of golf in Athlone with him also (I was one of the lucky ones) Rest easy Paddy and thanks for all the advice & memories you gave me 🙏🏻🙏🏻Will always smile when I think of you Paula X

My condolences on your sad loss. Paddy will be sadly missed by all his old school friends. Paddy and I were pals in school ,primary and secondary and I remember he was always the best in the class. We also did the County scholarship together. Which Paddy got, and I didn't!!!!! He was also a very good poker player and won many a game from us. l met Paddy occasionally over the years and am very shocked to hear of his death
