Am very sorry to hear of the death of Padraig - a very influential Secretary General of the Department of the Taoiseach. May he Rest In Peace.
— Mary Doyle
Padraig made major contributions in many aspects of public life and the nation owes him a tremendous debt of gratitude. He will be remembered with respect and deep affection by his many friends. I had the pleasure of working with Padraig in An Foras Forbartha and in the Department of the Taoiseach and also on committees and working parties while I was in the Confederation of Irish Industry [now Ibec]. I offer my condolences to Padraig's family. His passing has left a void in Irish life. I am confident that he now enjoys oneness with God for all eternity and that we will all meet again. Con Power

I’m sorry to hear of the death of Padraig. My late Father knew him well back in the 1960’s when Padraig set up An Foras Forbatha. After that Pádraig went on to even greater heights. A true Irish Patriot, he achieved so much in life for which everyone in Ireland can be grateful. My sympathies go to Feargal and the O hUiggin family at this sad time.

May He Rest In Peace.

To Patricia and Family:
I am very saddened to hear of Padraig’s death. May he rest in peace. Padraig was a role model for so many with his capacity to be always positive, helpful and in good spirits. For Padraig, any problem had only one possible outcome......its solution. I am out of Ireland at present so unfortunately it will not be possible for me to attend his funeral. With my deepest sympathy at this very sad time.
