A rare good memoir of five years in Synge Street was remembering Pj Brady. 30 years on just hearing this news today and it makes me sad to hear of his passing. A good man, a good teacher and a inspiration to all teachers that students are not all academic. He will be missed by myself and so many others who were lucky to have him as a teacher .

Deepest sympathies to Eleanor, Ruth, Declan and Kevin on the passing of PJ

The term ‘a gentleman and a scholar’ never applied to anyone more than PJ.
I had the pleasure of knowing him for over twenty years and having many enjoyable chats with him in his home in Templeogue, along with a series of annual ‘Christmas Dinners’ in the city centre. His encyclopaedic knowledge and compassion were extraordinary. One always left a meeting with PJ feeling and being a better person.
With PJ’s passing we have lost a truly great individual and educator. And most fundamental of all, for the Brady clan, a cherished family member.

Rest in peace PJ, it was an honour being your friend!
