Maree and family
Please accept my belated condolences. My first meeting with PJB was in 1968 when I was invited to join Cooper Brothers as the firm was then called and Paddy was one of the first partners I met. He impressed me then with his wisdom and his encyclopedic knowledge of the Irish political scene. Even though he officially retired from active politics he never lost the touch. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Paddy’s passing and sincere sympathies to Maree, Paddys family extended family and all his friends esp from those C&L days. A unique man who gave plenty of good advice & encouragement to a lot of young chartered accountants who were starting out over the years. I’m sure there will be lots of fond stories recounted over the next while but If I may para-phrase a former political contemporary of PJB’s
You’ve done the state and business some service ! Enough of that ! Gone but not forgotten!
God rest PJB, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís.
